I loved this. This is why there’s all this talk about Sherlock being a child. And Sherlock always having to reinforce that he’s an adult even though he’s obviously very child-like. Because children can see what adults dismiss. Their limited understanding of how the world works causes them to connect impossible things plausibly. They don’t discard the obvious because it seems unlikely, but make connections that though many cannot follow and find ridiculous, are brilliant.
